DOWNLOAD SAMPLE FILES

To help you get started with your own exploration into Biohistory, we’ve provided two downloadable sample files that demonstrate how the software models the development of civilisation over time and geography.

  • The .mapx file contains the environmental world map, including variables like rainfall, altitude, and temperature. These define the physical conditions populations must adapt to. You can think of it as the stage—the geography and environment where history unfolds.

  • The .simx file defines the simulation scenario, including population traits, starting locations, and the mathematical rules (formulas) that guide growth, migration, farming, and cultural development. This is like the script—it tells the software how populations behave over time.

Together, these files allow you to explore how civilizations emerge, expand, and decline based on both environmental factors and internal traits. Use them as a foundation to modify and build your own models of world history.
